It's early July and the NBA draft just concluded last week. You've got 21 basketball clients at your company, ABC AGENTS INC. If you're mailing them to someone in the United States, it will take 2-3 days for the tape to arrive; total time to deliver a video in USA after initial phone call: 3 weeks... If you're trying to send a video anywhere on the other side of the Atlantic, good luck. It will take a minimum of 5 business days; total time to deliver a video outside of USA after initial phone call: 4 weeks...
• You're not finished. With tapes arriving on that teams desk everyday, don't expect someone to call to let you know that you're video has arrived. It's been 3-4 weeks since that contact requested the video. You must follow up with a phone call at which time you find out that your contact is out of the office until next week...or worse, that the team has already found a player.
