ArchivaParents
Its game day. Its the big two-day holiday tournament and you're just excited as your kid. You get your video camera and head out the door. You return home after winning the first day's games. Tomorrow is the championship game against the same team that demolished you 1 week ago. You quickly pop in last week's video to see why your team (actually your kid's team) lost the game. You then put in a fresh tape for tomorrow. The next day, the team plays great. As soon as you get home, you send a copy to all the relatives...
I think we all know that scenario never happens. Let's look at what really happens!
Typical Parent's Gameday

- Its game day and its time to leave for the gym or the field. You want to tape your kid's tournament games this weekend but you don't have a blank tape.
- You find last week's tape but you didn't transfer that game to another cassette. Your family will throw you into a dungeon if you tape over last week's game.
- Just then, you remember that you sent a copy to grandma in Florida. No problem, you can use the tape and get a copy from grandma later. After wasting 10 minutes, you rush out the door.
- You return home exhausted. The championship game tomorrow is against the same team that crushed you last week. You search for the video of last week's game.
- After 20 minutes, you remember that you taped over that video today and the only copy is in Florida. You contact other parents that might have taped the game but no luck.
- You decide to watch the game from today. Good game, great win!
- After going to bed, you realize you don't have a blank tape for tomorrow. You stay up 2 more hours copying the video onto another video cassette.
- Next day, you're off to the game. The team plays great and they WIN!! You want to send copies to the grandparents.
- You stop at the store on the way home to buy blank VHS cassettes.
- You spend 4 hours making copies, 20 minutes going back to the store to buy envelopes, and plenty of money (cassettes, postage, gas, supplies, candy at the store).
- Then you have to wait until tomorrow to mail the tapes because the post office is closed. Relatives receive the videos in 3 days.
- Year after year tapes start pilling up in a drawer or cabinet, and you don't know what games are on any of the tapes because you did not document them properly so they just sit there collecting dust.
